PNC Arena Expands Capacity for Hockey Games

Capacity Increased to 18,680

Raleigh, N.C. - PNC Arena has announced an expansion of its capacity for hockey games to 18,680, effective immediately. The expansion is part of a multi-phase renovation project that will see the addition of new seating and amenities.

"We are thrilled to be able to offer our fans a more comfortable and enjoyable experience," said PNC Arena General Manager Don Waddell. "The expansion will allow us to accommodate the growing demand for hockey in Raleigh."

The expansion includes the addition of 1,000 new seats in the upper level, as well as new club seats and suites. The arena will also feature a new state-of-the-art sound system and a new LED scoreboard.

The renovation project is expected to be completed in time for the 2023-24 NHL season.
