WEB Hurricane Beryl ˈ b ɛ r ə l was a deadly and destructive Category 5 Atlantic hurricane that impacted parts of the Caribbean and the Yucatán Peninsula. The storm is blamed for nine deaths in the Caribbean and Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula, where it made landfall as a Category 4 hurricane.
