Yankees Mailbag Chisholms Future Volpes Progression And Roty Rewards

Yankees Mailbag: Chisholm’s future, Volpe’s progression, and RotY rewards

Too early to make a call on Chisholm

Chisholm has been a bright spot for the Yankees this season, but it’s too early to say what his future holds. He’s still only 24 years old and has a lot of room to grow. He needs to improve his consistency at the plate and in the field, but he has the potential to be a star. The Yankees should be patient with him and give him the time he needs to develop.

Volpe is making progress

Volpe is one of the Yankees’ top prospects, and he’s making progress this season. He’s hitting .300/.360/.500 in Triple-A and has shown some good power and speed. He’s also making progress defensively at shortstop. The Yankees are hoping that Volpe can be their shortstop of the future, but they’re not going to rush him. They want to make sure he’s ready for the big leagues before they call him up.

RotY race is heating up

The AL RotY race is heating up, and several Yankees are in the mix. Jasson Dominguez is the favorite, but Oswald Peraza and Anthony Volpe are also having great seasons. Dominguez is hitting .300/.360/.500 with 15 home runs and 30 stolen bases in Double-A. Peraza is hitting .290/.350/.470 with 10 home runs and 25 stolen bases in Triple-A. Volpe is hitting .300/.360/.500 with 10 home runs and 20 stolen bases in Triple-A. All three players are making a case for themselves, and it will be interesting to see who wins the award.
