Halle: Traffic jam after serious accident on the A9
Leipzig/Weißenfels - On Tuesday morning, there was a serious accident on the A9 near Halle (Saale), causing long traffic jams.
According to initial information from the police, a truck and a car collided on the A9 towards Berlin between the Weißenfels and Bad Dürrenberg junctions shortly after 8 a.m. As a result, one person was seriously injured.
Numerous emergency services are currently on duty at the scene of the accident. The A9 towards Berlin is currently completely closed. Traffic is diverted at the Weißenfels junction.
According to the police, major traffic delays are to be expected. Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible and to use an alternative route.
